I say it out loud all the time: Your love story is so much more than pretty pictures.

Choosing a photographer for your Big Day is all about finding someone who sees you, gets you, and can tell your story with the most compassionate, relatable, and even brutal honesty.

With so many skilled and talented photographers out there, overcoming analysis paralysis when trying to decide on the perfect one can be super overwhelming.

Here's what I recommend: Get to know the way a photographer tells a story through their photography.

After all, roses have fragile, beautiful petals just as much as they have thorns.

Let's talk deets.

My whole point of view is based around a really straightforward philosophy: Your wedding day is about you.

Seems like that should be obvious, but in the long journey to get to the Big Day, what matters most can get so lost under a barrage of expectations and stress and straight up wedding planning fatigue.

But it never gets lost for me as a photographer capturing your day.

from the

  • You have me until your party comes to a conclusion. You don't have to worry about squeezing your entire wedding day into a hourly-based window of photography coverage in order to avoid missing out on photos of important moments. No FOMO: just you, fully present with all your favorite people, and with one less huge stressor to worry about.
  • In this house, we don't stress about shot lists. We work together on your day-of timeline to optimize and prioritize the opportunities we need to get the photos you want most, whether that's a meaningful gift exchange, a first look, or making room so you can join your Cocktail Hour.
  • Your fully polished final collection of photos will be made instantly and easily accessible in an online gallery that can be shared among your chosen people (with options for privacy walls in the cases of not-so-chosen people). You'll also have full print release to your photos, which means you can print what you want whenever you want with no extra fee.
  • Get those retro y2k vibes with photos taken via one of my absolute favorite vintage 2003 digicams. With a much smaller environmental footprint than film, the original digicams are a solid sustainable alternative, requiring no plastic production or waste, and using rechargeable batteries and original memory cards.

engagement session

  • Don't worry about whether or not you want to add on an Engagement Portrait Session: you get one complimentary anyway. Let's get together for a couple of hours and frolic in a place of your choosing (I know a lot of good ones), and I'll make you a gorgeous gallery of photos that you can share on your wedding website, on your wedding day signage, or in your save-the-dates.
